Do you love children? Preferred ChildCare may be the agency for you! All Preferred ChildCare Specialists work as much, or as little, as they want with no obligations. To become a Preferred ChildCare Specialist, you must meet the following Qualifications:

ChildCare Specialist Qualifications

• Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Training/Certification (within 45 days)
• 18 years of age or older
• 3 years minimum ChildCare Experience
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D
• Personal interview with agency
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to keep a daily log

All Preferred ChildCare Specialists are carefully screened and the following background checks will be performed:

• North Carolina State and County Screening (Felony and Misdemeanor)
• Driving Record Checks
• Sexual Misconduct Record
• Social Security Verification
• Resume and Reference Check

Compensation and Wages

Hourly wages vary depending on your personal experience and the requirements of the family for whom you are working.
